You will often find that Emo boys are more introvert than extrovert; they are basically shy guys, who never pretend to be tough. Emo was originally born out of Washington DC during the mid 1980's. The word was used to describe the emotional performances given by the bands of that time - Emo (emotional). With time this look became, and still is, very trendy with the youth. Emo is generally restricted to the age group of your teens and early twenties.
Because Emo rejects mainstream trends and embraces individuality, you have to be daring to daring in order to be able to carry off this look with confidence. Dressing is what completes the picture and you will find Emo boys wearing tight black jeans, black t-shirts with the name of rock bands on them, studded belts, canvas shoes vintage clothing, many armbands, beanies and possibly even black horn-rimmed glasses.
The point of dressing, wearing make-up and hair in the Emo style is in the belief that they are an individual. It is a combination of contemporary cultural expression, where everyone has something different to say to the world.
